WEEK 1: CLASS 1 & 2

(2 hours each)

Whether you are starting a brand or already operating one you need to have an understanding of business. There are several strategies and principles in product development and manufacturing that we will outline in your initial planning stages.

We will dive into the key thought processes that you need to consider for your brand. Ie. Naming your business, setting a budget, writing a business plan, funding and loss prevention. By the end of this week, you will know if your idea will be profitable or if you need to reevaluate your plans.

WEEK 2: CLASS 1 & 2

(2 hours each)

You will be introduced to key person roles in the industry to consider for your design, development and production phases. You want to eliminate the possibility of having

"Too many chefs in the kitchen".

We’ll then jumpstart you into building a marketable brand where we cover strategic collection planning and what you need to consider before any development & production. We help you understand how to analyze your brand value and identify your competitive advantage. You may be surprised by how your vision for your brand can change after completing your own analysis.

You'll also get a crash course on textiles too!

By the end of this week, you will be able to create a clear SWOT analysis for your business.

WEEK 3: CLASS 1 & 2

(2 hours each)

We’ll start this week with explaining the difference between working with a seamstress versus a manufacturer. The processes are different so understanding which category your brand should focus on will save you from taking a loss.

We will teach you the basic points of measurements on a garment, how to determine your fabric yield, why shrinkage testing is important, how to complete your own cost analysis before developing a style and more.

We cover the importance of simultaneously designing, branding & establishing your marketing funnels for an explosive launch of your business.

WEEK 4: CLASS 1 & 2

(2 hours each)

Now that we’re almost at the end of the course, we will give you strategies on pre- production prepping. Our production experts will discuss industry standards in detail. Participants will also receive blank templates of necessary forms needed to place orders in production.

The second half of the week we’ll focus on connecting with those contacts you’ll need to make an impactful launch. While e-commerce selling is crucial it is still not the only method of selling. Learn how selling short term helps to develop your brand experience while making your customers feel special. We will equip you with the 6 metrics for measuring your sales and product performance, so that you learn what to prioritize in your marketing efforts.

WEEK 5: CLASS 1 & 2

(2 hours each)

It’s the last week and we’re about to push you out into the real world!

We'll be defining more manufacturing focused items that you need to determine if you'll include in order to streamline your fulfillment process. Legality is important, we'll go over what you need to do to protect your intellectual property and set your business up for long term growth.

Our live Q&A will allow for previously submitted questions to be answered as we recap the last 4 weeks. We will have a few special VIP guest on to give you their take on the ever-changing Fashion Business. This week is open, conversational, and fun!

We are super excited to share over three decades of knowledge with the future leaders of this industry!!
